Terms of Service

Effective 3 August 2026 · Last updated 3 August 2026

CatchMyWords has not launched yet. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing — these terms take effect if and when you install the extension and create an account.

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms are an agreement between you and Ibrahim Kako, a sole trader based in Ireland ("we", "us"). By installing or using the CatchMyWords extension or the services behind it, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use it.

2. What the service does

CatchMyWords:

  • Builds a searchable index of your conversations, stored on your own device
  • Searches that index when you ask it for something
  • Sends the passages it found, with your instruction, through our proxy to an AI model, and returns a draft

Conversations reach the index in two ways. Some platforms can be captured directly in the browser; others are brought in by importing a file you have exported yourself. Which is which is shown in the extension, and changes as platforms change.

3. Your account

  • An account is required, including on the free plan, and sign-in is via Google.
  • Keep your account secure; you are responsible for what happens under it.
  • Accounts are personal. Do not share one, or resell access.

4. Plans

PlanPriceGenerations
Free€010 per period
Pro€8 per month (VAT included)1,000 per period, as a fair-use ceiling

Your period runs from the date you subscribed, not from the first of the calendar month. If you subscribe on the 12th, your allowance renews on the 12th.

We may change prices, limits or features. If a change affects you materially, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you would rather not continue.

5. Billing and cancellation

  • Pro is billed monthly through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in the extension.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep Pro until then; nothing is cut off early.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries over roughly two weeks. During that time your account falls back to free-plan limits, and full access returns automatically once payment succeeds.

6. Your right to cancel within 14 days

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract and receive a refund.

Because CatchMyWords is a digital service that starts working the moment you subscribe, by subscribing you ask us to begin supplying it immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has been fully supplied. In practice we take a fair view of this: if you subscribe and change your mind within 14 days, email support@catchmywords.com and we will refund you.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Use the service to produce anything illegal, harassing, defamatory or infringing
  • Work around usage limits, rate limits or authentication
  • Drive requests with scripts or bots at speeds no person types at
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or probe our proxy or backend
  • Disrupt the service or the infrastructure behind it
  • Capture from a platform in a way that breaks that platform's own terms

The Pro ceiling exists to stop automated abuse, not to ration ordinary work. If you are a genuinely heavy user we will talk to you before we do anything about it.

8. Who owns what

  • Your content stays yours. We claim nothing over your conversations, or over what the service drafts from them.
  • Drafts are produced by a third-party AI model, and its provider's terms apply to that output. How you use it is your responsibility.
  • The extension, the proxy and the brand are ours. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them.

9. What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. In particular:

  • Drafts can be wrong. AI models make mistakes, including confident ones. Read anything before you send it.
  • Capture can break. Platforms redesign without notice, and a connector may stop working until we update it.
  • Availability is not guaranteed. The proxy and the model provider can have outages.
  • Your index is not backed up. It lives only on your device — a browser reset, a profile wipe or a new machine loses it, and we cannot restore it. Keep anything important elsewhere too.

To the extent the law allows: we exclude implied warranties; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the previous 12 months, or €50, whichever is greater. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Accuracy and grounding

The service instructs the model to use only the passages retrieved from your own history, to keep to them, and to say so when it has little to work from. Every draft shows which conversation and date it drew on, so you can check. Those measures reduce invention; they do not eliminate it. Verify before you rely on anything.

11. Privacy

How we handle data is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: your index stays on your device; we store your email, your plan, and a counter; the excerpts needed for a single draft are sent for that request and kept by no one.

12. Ending it

  • You: cancel any time, and uninstalling removes your index from your device.
  • Us: we may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
  • To have your account records erased afterwards, email us — see the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give you at least 14 days' notice by email or in the extension. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.

15. The rest

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
